100% Volunteer, 100% Awesome
We need your help! Ask today how you can help ensure our club continues to grow and develop.
To make a community program successful, there must be volunteers. The more volunteers there are, the more successful the program will be, as the many tasks to execute the program will be completed efficiently by many volunteers, not many tasks loaded on just a couple of volunteers. Volunteers need to swap out after terms are served to keep the club and programs fresh and in-line with community wants and needs!
FC Frenchtown is a community driven club, led by community volunteers, to develop and deliver a youth soccer program to Frenchtown and surrounding communities (Huson, Alberton, etc.) youth ages Pre-K through 12th grade! The community wants, and in many respects needs, a youth soccer program. With past years’ registrations totaling over 100 players from Frenchtown in various Missoula led Programs, the want and need is visible in our community. As a result, a club with a very strong base was formed in Frenchtown in 2018 based on competitive teams in grades 6-12, with the base expanded in 2019 to add recreational programs. All administrative work is now completed, making the club an easy to run 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization in good standing with the State of Montana and our parent organization of Montana Youth Soccer Association which is further an affiliate of US Youth Soccer.
The future of the Frenchtown Community Soccer Club, Football Club (FC) Frenchtown rests with the volunteers in the local community. There are many positions that must be filled to make this program successful in the future. If there are not volunteers willing to fill the various board positions and help with the various committee spots, the club will cease to exist.
Volunteers are needed - from board member positions, to committees, and random tasks (such as concession stand, coach, manager, referee, field marshal, etc), volunteers are the glue that make this organization what it is! We volunteer for the youth. While soccer is the activity in which we engage our youth, our youth learn so much more to include communication, leadership, teamworking, and problem-solving skills - just to name a few. Volunteers often become mentors. Volunteers are rewarded by watching it all come together - from registration, through team development, practices, games, tournaments, and camps. There is nothing like watching a child learn new skills or finally being able to execute a skill they have been practicing all season.
We cannot effectively run a club and develop our youth in soccer without our volunteers. The more volunteers we have, the more efficient the club and teams will operate.
Board Members
Board members assist with the daily operation of the Club. There are voting and non-voting board member positions. Board members fulfilling voting positions are elected on a 2-year term basis. We fully support changeover to allow for new ideas, improvements to existing ideas, and fresh energy to fuel the board. While there are no set consecutive term limits, it is encouraged to fulfill a position for a term, and volunteer for a different position, committee, or other volunteer activity the next.
Committee Members
Committee members are identified and selected based on the needs of the club. Committee members may be required for an event, a season, or a longer term depending on the need.
Team Positions
Team Positions consist of managers, coaches, and referees.
